  1. Long ago there lived a man named Pat Smith. He was better known as Pat the matchmaker.
    He was (better) a great talker and knew every family in the neighbourhood and was in great demand for bringing boys and girls together who were anxious to marry.
    He would arrange a day to meet the boy and girl at his own home and also invite the father and mother
