  1. The fist local landlord was captain Culme and after he was Lord Headfort whom we still have. Captain Culme has been settled in this district in sixteen hundred and eight.
    Both of these landlords were looked upon as good ones.
    Very few evictions have been carried out in this district. Most of the evicted people got little houses of their own, while others went to England and Scotland.
    The landlords got the land by putting the people out of their land
    The land was not divided into farms under their guidance
