  1. There are four forges in the parish. They are owned by Patrick Kiernan, John O Reilly, Philip Morgan and Hugh McHugh.
    Patrick Kiernan's father and grand (fatch) father were smiths. John O Reilly's father had also been a smith, the other three smith families had not been smiths.
    Patrick Kiernan and John O Reilly forge are situated in Virginia, Philip Morgan forge is situated beside the road in Lisnabuntry, Hugh McHughs forge is situated beside the road on Copanagh Hill.
    The forge is a big house made of stone with a paved floor in it. The door is very wide and it is the shape
