    around Lough Ramor in 1610, two hundred and fifty acres of this this grant was assigned to a Captain Culmer with orders to build a town on the shores of Lough Ramor.
    A town was needed so the planters should have the necessaries of life. In sixteen eighteen ten wooden houses were built, the timber was got from Fermanagh.
    I live in the townland of Rahardrum Barony of Castlerahan and in the parish of Lurgan.
    There are about thirty-eight families living in this townland and about one hundred and fifty six people.
