  1. An old woman used to visit this district and she was always known as Biddy but her right name was Mary Smith. She used to go around in an ass and cart and she sold baskets and flowers and pictures and combs and other little articles.
    She used stay for about a week. She slept in some house in the district, and anyone that gave her food if they wanted anything from her she would give it to them free.
    She did not accept charity unless the people bought something from her. She was not very poor. She
