  1. Friday is said to be a lucky day for changing from one house to another. It is said Saturdays flitting makes a short sitting.
    It is supposed to be unlucky to give anything away on May day. It is said that you will have no luck the rest of the year. This applies especially to milk if you give away milk on May day you will have no butter the rest if the year.
    Anything that is set on Good Friday is sure to grow.
    If you wear anything new on Tuesday or Saturday you will have bad luck.
    You should never put out the ashes in the evening
