  1. There is a mass rock in the town-land of Murmod, Virginoa Co Cavan. It is about two miles from Virginia in the lands of Edward Brady.
    The rock is surrounded by trees, there used to be a guard placed outside the lane beside the rock during Mass to give warning if the red coats were coming.
    There was an old cross in the middle of the rock but it fell out of it.
    The rock was so old that only for that cross it would not be known as a Mass rock.
