  1. James Tormey was one of the most popular men in the country. He was one of the best step dancers in the country and there was not an annual Feis held that James Tormey was not sought for.
    He was a tall, erect and stately figure and gentle as a child. He was strongly built and he wore a beard.
    He was a thorough Irishman in every sense of the word. The people used to ask him to their houses to dance.
    He had great muscles and he was a great weight
