    The smiths shoe asses and horses. I have never heard of cattle being shod. In some countries (and they) tin shoes are put on bullocks and they are made plough.

  2. There are three forges in the parish of Killinkere. The smiths are Sam Mac Illwane, James Caffrey, and Pat Clarke. This been a tradition in their families.
    The bellows is a large three cornered article with a pipe or tube sticking underneath the fire hearth. There is a long chain attached on to the bellows and when it is pulled the wind leaves
