    The Potato Crop
    The Loy
In some places a "loy" is used. This is nearly like a spade only with a thicker handle and a longer and narrower head. The iron in the head is about an inch and a half in thickness and is a foot and a half in length and a hallow in the middle. This is very handy for turning over the sod to make the ridges.
