  1. The old people in the townland of Lurganboy believed that a death coach would go up the road when any member of the Malone family was about to die. No one has claimed to have seen it but it was often heard going the road.
    One time there was a wake in a house along the road and one of the Malone's was ill. They heard the clapping of the horses hooves the creaking of the harness and the rumbling of the wheels: they ran out to see what vehicle it was but when they went out there was nothing.
