  1. The people long ago used to wear boots for the first time when about nine years old. Poor people, that would not have the price of boots used to wear clogs. All the children in this district go barefooted in Summer time. No-body goes barefooted in winter because they could not stand the cold of their feet.
    When people's feet get dirty or sweaty they wash them with warm water and soap. There is only one shoemaker in this district and his name is Jim Farrelly.
    In strong nailed boots kip leather is the best, and in fine Sunday boots kid leather is the best.
