  1. There lived a man in the parish of Denn once who was very poor. One day he was reaping corn in a field and when evening came he was almost finished and he did not like to leave that little piece undone.
    He continued reaping while the moon was shining. In the middle of the field there was a loan bush growing. When he was finished reaping he went over to the bush and sat down to rest. He lit his pipe and was smoking quite contented with his days work when something hit in the head and thumbled him. He crawled up and could see nothing. When he had looked for something he went home and he done no good after that.
