    Feed a Cold and Starve a Fever
    Cure for a Cold
    Take hot camomile tea (a dozen flowers to a pint of boiling water.) Camomile tea, taken cold, is also a spendid liver tonic.
    Cure for consumption
    Get roots of comfrey, boil well strain and drink a wineglass of it three times a day.
    Cure for a bielded or festered finger
    Get a piece of bacon and nitre and bandage it with this.
    Cure for pimples
    Rub them with a mixture of unsalted butter and suplhur.
    Cure for freckles or sunburn
    Bathe the affected parts nightly with butter milk.
    Cure for hives
    Rub with bread soda or vinegar and take fasting and mixure of treacle and sulphur.
    Cure for sore throat
    Beat up an egg white with honey and take
    To stop bleeding
    Give the patient a wad of paper to chew.
