  1. (continued from previous page)
the child who has put the button in his hands, goes and puts his hands into the other child's hands and says "Shove the Button hold it tight, and does so till all is finished". Then he asks, "Who has the button?" And if the person does not guess, he will get a slap. At School we play, "Town Ball", "Three Legged Races", and "Wheelbarrow Races". The Wheelbarrow race is played by one boy getting down on his hands, and another boy holds his ankles, and he goes along on his hands, and whoever reaches the winning post first is winner.

  2. Cure for Whooping Cough.No.22
When you meet a "hairy horse" or black caterpillar. Put it in the piece of paper in some child's name "in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost" put the paper away in an old wall or the roof of a house when the child gets the whooping cough, he will get it lightly and will not "kink" badly.
