  1. Once an Irish man went over to America and the men he was working with were very fond of him. They asked him if he had any brothers as good as himself and the man said he had one better.
    The man wrote to his brother and told him they would pay his passage money. Before he went over the brother told the men "They would not be able to make a fool of him", and they said "We bet you five dollars we will".
    When the man arrived his brother and the men were waiting for him in the office. The man went to the office. The men went to the office to settle about his work. When the Irish man went in they said to him "have you any news from the ould country Paddy?" He said "there
