  1. On a sandy beach not more than a mile from Morahill there is a field situated on a rising hill in which there is a tree called Holmes tree the reason it was called that name because a man by the name of Mr Holmes owned it.
    One stormy day the man of the house said to his family we must go and look for some wood as they were poor and were not able to buy any turf. After long searching he could not find any fire-wood he said he would cut down the lone tree. so he did next morning as he was pulling the
