  1. Captain Tom Sheridan was a local hero, he was born in the town land of Dromcrow parish of Kilmore, he fought and died for his country.
    He was in ambush with his comrades and their plans were to rob some members of the old British Forces when entering the little village of Crossdoney, but while fighting to do so he got badly wounded he was brought to hospital where he died in a short time, his fame is well known in history for his brave deeds.
    His funeral was one of the largest that was ever seen in Co
