  1. "Skittles". - Five sticks called "skittles" each about 1/2 ft long are placed standing on the road as in diagram
    The players stand about 10 yards away and throw three long sticks known as "throwers" and try to knock the "Skittles". To knock the cetnre Skittle counts ten points any of the others five points each
    Games for 50 points are played. In the event of a player exceeding this number when throwing he is penalised ny his total been reduced to 25. Bets are made such as A penny (2d[?]) "you dont knock 20 with the one stick. Games for money are also played at 1/2d a player played in pairs or singles This is a very old game and has been played as long as living memory recalls.
