  1. XVIII) A prayer to be said when going to bed at night.
As I went up the holy land, I met the Blessed Virgin, seven mass books in her hand, seven priests singing, seven bells ringing, rise up the lamb of God,
Open the gates of Heaven, close the gates of Hell,
    Sweet Jesus Amen.
Anyone that says this prayer seven times by night and day,
shall not fear death nor danger,
Nor the flags of hell shall not enter on them.
XIX) A prayer to be said against diseases.
When Jesus came to the cross, He shook three times,
and the Jews asked Him had He the fever, ague , or palsey,
Whoever has this in words or lines,
Shall never have fever, ague, or palsey.
