    Local Prayers.
    1. A Prayer to cure a Toothache.
    As Christ was walking all alone
    He saw St. peter weeping over a marble stone
    What ails thou Peter, why does thou weep?
    My Lord and Saviour the toothache.
    2. A Prayer to stop a bleeding nose.
    Jesus was born at Bethlehem
    Baptised at the river Jordan.
    And when Jesus came the water stopped
    And in Jesus; name and for Jesus sake
    I ask this blood to stop the same.
    OR
    Our Lord was born in Bethlehem
    Baptised in the river Jordan
    The water was clear, the water was goof,
    And when Jesus came the water stood,
    And by His word, and in His name
    I command this blood to do the same.
    3. Prayer when you see a New Moon.
    I see the moon and the moon sees me,
    God bless the Moon and God bless me.
