  1. There was supposed to be a lepreachan in the townland of Pollereagh Mount Nugent Co Cavan and he lived in the fort. He was often seen by the children who made way for him to play with them but the parents could not see him.
    He was a little man with a green coat and yellow cap. He was noted for leading people astray and he used to travel from Pollereagh to Tullyegan and he had various passes. Anyone crossing these passes after dark was led astray by him. To baffle his cunning you are to sit down immediately you find yourself going astray. Then turn your coat inside out and put it on that way and you will get home safely. An old man said he used to hear the fairies playing music and carrying on with all sorts of revelry in the fort.
