    Whip making
In a shop in Killeshandra hand-made whips are sold. They are made by a man called Bryce who lives near Carrigallen. The handles of the whips are made from white thorn branches and are varnished over. They have a piece of leather on the part held in the hand. The lashes are made of leather strips plaited together.
