    Recipe for "Scotch boxty"
    6 large potatoes grated
    2 lbs flour.
    1 lb raisins
    1 0z carrawayseed
    1/2 oz mixed spice.
    1/2 lb sugar.
    1 teaspoon baking soda.
    Pinch of salt.
    Mix all together and tie in a clean cloth. Put into enough boiling water to cover it, and boil for 4 hrs.
    Leave till cook, and fry in grease.
