    The Farmer Wants a Wife
    Children get into a circle. One is put into the middle for the "farmer". They all sing "The farmer wants a wife." Then the farmer picks out a wife from the circle of children Then they sing, The "wife wants a child," and the wife picks out a child. Then they sing, "The child wants a nurse," and the child picks out a nurse. They sing, The nurse wants a dog," and she picks out a dog. They sing "The dog wants a bone,' and the dog picks out a bone. Then they all join in the circle again leaving 'the bone' alone while all this has been going on the children in the circle keep moving round. Mabel Gibson,
