  1. 1. If going along the road and you find a snail without looking for it take it up and rub it to the wart in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Then stick it on a thorn and as the snail withers away so will the wart.
    2. Warts. Get ten straws, bury one and hide nine. Do not tell anyone about it until the wart is gone.
    3. A cure for the hiccough. Swallow your spit nine times without drawing your breath.
    4. For a sore eye wash it in black tea.
