The Brenanns are not working,
They are a lazy idle pack,
They are as bad as Peter Rudden,
Who from Hamels got the sack.

Since he quit his porter drinking,
He's fairly shook inside his duds,
But he'll soon be giving lectures,
For the spraying of the spuds.

Shouted Nany in a passion,
What the divil's keeping Kate",
And Brocky from outside the door, Says "You havn't long to wait.

Next moment Kitty entered,
She says "I hope there's nothing wrong.
I've got no news from Cleragh,
But there's lots from Mullaghbawn".
