  1. Portions of this Townland were taken over by the Land Commission, (they were the property of Mr. Faris)
    These lands were portioned out to new tenants: Eccleston, Doyle, Mc. Kiernan, and Mc. Keown. There were no dwelling houses on these lands, the men who got them had small holdings already.
    Some of the houses in this part are very backward. There are 3 of them along the main road. Two of them are reached by a very steep lane which strangers consider almost past climbing.
    I dont think the younger generation would appreciate having to mount it every day.
    The names of fields: Long Meadow, Lawn, Triangle, Mucklehole field. Flat Field. Dole Hill.
