  1. There was once a very clever girl. Her name was Catherine. She had only one fault, but it was a serious one. Her parents were shopkeepers. She would sell cloth and buy nice things for herself, that her parents did not know anything about.
    It happened one day that her parents were away, at a wedding, and the girl invited three of her best friends to a party and treated them to everything nice- coffee, cakes, grasp, apples, pears and wine.
    They were feasting merrily, when suddenly the door opened and in came her mother, and another lady to buy something in the shop. The customer got her goods and Catherine sent her friends away and delivered the parcel for the customer.
    Next morning Catherine was taken to the office and advised by her
