  1. Pat Sexton Lachenmore was able to swim Lachen Lake and dive down twenty feet and take up a handful of sand. He lived at the lake and learned to swim. I do not know if he is dead or not.

    Tom Rourke was a famous walker. He was able to walk from from his own house to Cavan in one hour, a journey of seven miles.
