    Bleeding;- (1) Apply a cob-web to a cut and bleeding will cease.
    (2) Apply common lime to a wound which is bleeding. The lime will serve as a disinfectant and for a stiff plaster which will protect the wound till it heals.
    (3) Moss is applied to a bleeding nose.
    (4) A large key is applied to the nape of the neck.
    The Running Worm or evil- The seventh son of a family is supposed to have the cure of the running worm provided a worm is placed in his hand immediately after birth.
    Mumps- An asses halter is placed on the head of the child affected and he is lead round the pig-stye three times, saying "leicne, Leicne.
