- People began to wear boots in former times at the age of four and five years. The children go barefooted in in Summer. There are no customs connected with the water used for washing the feet. Boots are not made in the district. There are no accounts of people who never wore boots. Wooden sole clogs were worn and made in the district in former times. Clogs are worn now. There are no shoemakers in this district. Leather was not made in the district at any time.
