  1. In olden times people had three meals, the breakfast, the dinner, and the supper. People often worked in the morning before having food. The breakfast consisted of oatmeal porridge and buttermilk. For dinner they had potatoes and vegetables. For supper they had porridge and sometimes potatoes. People sat round the table in the middle of the floor while eating. On Easter Sunday eggs were eaten. Oaten bread was eaten in olden times. Noggins were used before cups became common.
