  1. The local roads are known as the Corraghoe Road, The Lavey Road and the Killyconnan Road. The Corraghoe Road leads from Corraghoe to Carriga. The Lavey Road runs from Leiter Big Tree to the Dublin Road, The Killyconnan road runs from Leiter Big tree to Grellagh. There is a path through the townland of Lavey leading to the schools and chapel. Before bridges were made, rivers were crossed at fords and at shallow places. The people who made the roads were paid at the rate of 4d a day.
