  1. There is one holy well in this district. It is situated in the parish of Lavey in the townland of Corawillan and the field is owned by Mr John Cusack.
    People visit this well on the 15th May. There are nine stones at this well at each of which one "Our Father and ten "Hail Marys' are to be said.
    When St Dympna was running away from her pagan father, she passed by this place and the hoof of her horse went down here and the well was formed. St Dympna is connected with this well. Invalids generally rub the water to the affected parts. There are no relics left at this well. There is no offering made at the well. There is no fish in the well, No stories are told about people who tried to drain or pollute the well. There is neither bush nor tree
