  1. This is the named applied locally to a field along the "mountainy lane", that is the lane which skirts the south side of Ardkill mountain. In the field is the "Cooley Stone".
    The Cooley Stone lies up against the ditch along the lane. It is a sand-stone flag of a type quite common in the lane and on the mountain. It is about 3' high and 1 1/2 ' broad.
    On it is the following inscription

    I.H.S.
    Pray for the
    Soul of Frank
    Corr who died in the
    year 1760
    AGED 67
    The stone was visited by 3 school-boys
    Jan. 1938
