If the potato is small it is put into the ground as one seed.

If the potato is small it is put into the ground as one seed. If the potato is fairly big it is cut into two halves. If the potato is very big it is cut into three pieces, and makes three seeds.
People always get seed out of another field. They never use the same seed, two years in the one field. Lime is put in the seeds to keep them from heating.
