  2. Cure for mumps - Put a pair of asse's winkers on the person's head and lead the person round a house in the name of the father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
    Cure for Measles - is to give the person hot punch, and keep him warm.
    Cure for chin cough - is to dip the person in the hoper of a mill.
    Cure for the burn - is cow's manure.
    Cure for the sty - is to get ten thorns of a gooseberry bush, point nine thorns at the sty, and throw the tenth one away.
