    There is a lake near Cavan called the Green Lake.

    There is a mountain in County Cavan called Sleighla and it is said that once a giant lifted a stone and threw it to another mountain also in County Cavan called Shantomon where it is at the present time with the tracks of the giant's five fingers in the stone.
    There was a man who lifted in Belvin near Ballinagh in County Cavan. In the famine times he have employment of small wages daily to build him a tower now called Fleming's Folly and the way they got the stones to it was a chain of men who handed a stone from man to man.
    It is said he built it to see his son going to America, but he fell down off it and broke his neck and so it was never completed
