- At Hallowe'en old and young dress-up and put masks on their faces.
They go about from house to house singing and dancing and collecting money, and some people give them nuts and apples and they have a great feast when they go home. On Hallowe'en night some people go to bed without talking and they dream of their future husband.
Other people hang an apple from the ceiling and try to take a bite out of it.
Some put a sixpence in a basin of flour and whoever finds the sixpence keeps it.
People take ladders and gates and put them standing against some door, when somebody comes to the door they fall in on them.
