Our district is visited frequently by the following birds; cranes, owls, hawks, ravens, wild ducks, wild geese, wild swans, corn-crakes, cuckoos, snipe, sea-gulls, black-birds, crows, pigeons, swallows, sparrows, skylarks, thrushes, linnets, and magpies. The following birds migrate; the corn-crake, the cuckoo, swallow, wild geese, and wild swans.
    A corncrake builds in the meadow while the sky-lark builds in the grass. The wren, the sparrow, and the swallow build their nests in the eaves of houses, turf-houses, sheds, and byres. The wild duck, wild geese, and the
