  1. There are two forges in this parish. The trade is in the families for many years. Both are situated along the the roadside and near a stream.
    There are wooden walls on both of them. The roofs are wooden also and there is felt over it and tarred over the felt. Both do the same work shoeing horses and asses, mending things for the farmers but they can make iron gates and a pair of thongs and screws and other things.
