  1. Hidden Treasure
In the fort in Drumullig (Marron's) there is said to be a pot of gold hidden by the Danes. Old Tom Wilson (a neighbour, now dead some years) dreamed 3 nights in succession of it. It was supposed to be got after 3 such dreams provided certain conditions were observed. Old Tom decided to try for it. Not less than 3 men were to go dig for it, & they were to have candles lit, & there was to be a death in the family of one of the men previous to digging.
Anyhow, 3 men went to dig, but after a while their nerves failed & they ran away.
