  1. A Lepracaun
There was a man named Joe Reilly of Tullylough* (dead about 10 years) who was out hunting in Dromkeen Lawn* (where Loreto new College now is) one night. He saw a fairy cobbler working under a tree and Joe said to him, "you are a great cobbler," so the fairy said "there is a better cobbler behind you", & when Joe looked round the lepracaun disappeard, but left the toold behind.
Joe took the tools, and sold the hammer to a man named Drench who lived in Drumkeen House at that time, but he kept the other tools for himself.
It is almost 60 years ago since then.
