  1. There was an old castle in Drumhome. The round piers are there to this day on which the gates were hung at the entrance to the castle. On a bright summers day you can see the bricks in the river at the ford of which the castle was built.
    Owen Roe O Neill was supposed to have stopped on his way to his castle at Lough Oughter.
    Until recently the site of the castle covered with daffodils
