  1. The name of my townland is "Crossrea". My parish is "Castleterra", and my barony "Upper Loughtee".
    There are three families, Beathhys, Seamus Fitzsimons. There used to be six families about forty years ago. There are sixteen people in it. There are three people over seventy - Mr and Mrs Fitzsimons and Mrs Beatty. Their addresses are -
    "Crossrea, Ballyhaise.
    There were six (families) houses forty years ago. One is standing yet, it is a calf-house now. One has fallen, the other was burnt, when an old woman was scutching flax, the woman being burnt too.
    There are two houses thatched and one slated. The land isn't very hilly, it is good land. There is wheat, oats, potatoes and turnips grown in it.
    "There is a stream called the "run". Between Crossrea and Lismagratty. It is a tributary of the river "Analee"
