  1. One night a man was coming home from a dance about two o'clock in the morning. He took a near cut across rocks, and whin bushes instead of going round the road. He could see the ditch in front of him all the time, but when he drew near the place where it seemed to be it had disappeared. This happened again several times. Then thinking he was following a fairy's path. He took off his coat and turned it inside out. It was not long until he got to the road. It was near morning when he got home.
