  1. There was a shop in teapotrow. Teapotrow was in Corravary. Poteen was sold in it. There was no trading after mass.
    Tick is getting goods without paying for them at the time. Cant is second hand goods. A bull is a shilling. A sixpence is called a tanner. A threepence is called a kidseye.
    There were no forbidden days for trading.
    Ballyhaise was a market place. There were old men travelling about gathering things. Some were gathering rags and iron Some people were gathering bones for manure.
    Others gather feathers for pillows and bed ticks. They got old bottles and sold them again for use.
