    One morning in May, when primroses sprang gay,
    And the valleys lay sparkling around;
    The birds, on each tree, sang a sweet melody,
    They charmed the air with a sound;
    My mind free from care, I had some time to spare,
    And my blood danced in every vein
    With my heart full og glee, I was lent on a spree,
    And I went to see Lovely Drumlane.
    II
    It was nigh to a grave, where fond lovers do rove,
    As the rose tipped the bright dews of morn,
    'Neath a blooming sweet shade, I espied a fairmaid,
    Sitting under a snowy whitethorn.
    As she rose from the ground, where she sat herself down
    She bedewed the cold earth with
