  1. 1. Prayer for the Toothache
Saint Peter sat on a marble stone
Who came in but God alone
What ails you Peter or what makes you moan
My Lord and Saviour it is the toothache
Get up Peter and do not moan those who say this prayer three times a day shall never be troubled with toothache.
    2. There are four corners on my bed,
There are four Angels over spread,
Saint Mathew, Mark, Luke and John,
God bless this bed that I sleep on.
    3. God is at my head the Blessed Virgin at my feet,
O Jesus be at my dying hour
    4. O Angel of God my Guardian dear,
To whome his love commits me here,
Ever this night be at my side to light and guard to rule and guide.
    4. Dear Angel ever at my side,
    How loving you must be,
To leave your home and heaven above,
To guard a wretch like me.
